About Guru Tejaswini Sathe
TANZ Kathak Academy is headed by Nrutyalankar Smt. Tejaswini Sathe. Tejaswini is a senior disciple and daughter-in-law of Guru Pandita Maneeshatai Sathe, and holds masters degrees in dance from University of Pune and Bharati Vidyapeeth.
Bestowed with natural beauty, talent and grace, Tejaswini Sathe is an accomplished Kathak dancer whose beauty complements her dance and makes her performances superbly stunning. Her emphasis is on perfection, practice & preparation.

Tanz is a good example of the guru disciple tradition. The girl has been learning Kathak here since she was 8 years old. My daughter was fond of dancing since she was 4 years old so I had decided to train her in classical dance form. At Tanz Kathak I ended my search of a good class where all qualified teachers train the girls for expressions, dance moves and details in Kathak. She has learnt for about 11 years at Tanz where she gets guidance of Guru Tejaswini Sathe and many more tais. It’s a great pleasure for us to see the annual social of the class every year. I have been learning kathak for the past 6 years. It's really very great experience learning there. I came across many competitions and i had a very great confidence performing kathak.
I am learning Kathak here since last 10 years now. And believe me when I say it is really amazing. Apart from teaching beautifully, this has been a part of my nurture. You get a connect with teachers within a very less time and its really not possible to not love the atmosphere here. This has been the best part of my life.
I am learning kathak in this academy for the last 8 years. Importance is given to Perfection, dedication, discipline. Exposure is given to students by conducting annual kathak programs on a large scale. Encouragement is given of participating in various classical kathak competitions. Excellent experience! Happy that I am a part of this institute !
I am being dancing since 5th std and i joined this class after my 12th which was the best decision i took of switching. This class has helped me a lot to grow and has given me an exposure. Even if we practice in a group, every teacher gives attention to each and every student of the group. They teach us every small detail and this has made me more confident and more and more love towards dance.
